Parish Consulting Experienced Solutions to Your Manufactured Housing Challenges.

10/26/2026

Last week at , Parish Consulting had the opportunity to participate in the Integrated Solutions for Property Management panel alongside nine other Rent Manager Solutions Partners.

While many of our fellow partners bring incredible software and technology solutions to the table, we bring something a little different: the operational side of making it all work.

Because here’s the thing…

💡 Technology alone doesn’t solve operational challenges. It takes the right people, clearly defined processes, and tools that support both.

Whether it’s improving collections, creating accountability, streamlining workflows, or scaling a growing portfolio, the real value comes from turning technology into measurable results. 📈

That’s what we love doing.

👥 Lead with People. Strengthen with Process. Empower with Tools.

Thank you to Rent Manager and our fellow panelists for the opportunity to share ideas, perspectives, and solutions that move our industry forward! 🤝

What a week at the 2026 Rent Manager User Conference in San Antonio, Texas! 🎉

One of our favorite events of the year never disappoints! From joining the Fairways Fore a Cause Golf Invitational in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals ⛳️ to creating custom leather luggage tags at the Aztec Theatre and celebrating at the Día de los Mu***os kickoff party, this year’s conference was one to remember.

Beyond the fun, we made meaningful connections, explored industry advancements, and walked away with plenty of new insights and training on all that Rent Manager has to offer!

A huge thank you to everyone who made RMUC.26 so special. We’re already looking forward to RMUC.27 in Orlando! 🌴

💡 Clarity comes before accountability.

You can’t hold someone accountable for an expectation they never clearly understood.

Accountability starts with defining who owns the outcome, what success looks like, when actions need to happen, and how results will be measured.

Without that clarity, leaders end up chasing updates, sending reminders, and stepping into work their teams should be able to own.

At Parish Consulting, we believe stronger operations start with the right foundation: People, Process, and Tools.

When expectations are clear, processes are consistent, and teams have the authority to act, accountability becomes less about micromanaging and more about building confident, independent operators. 📈

The goal isn’t to chase the work. It’s to build an operation where people know what they own and have the structure to follow through.

Some places stay with you.

This week, I had the opportunity to return to a community that was part of my portfolio for many years and one I hadn’t seen since the devastating Santa Rosa fires.

The last time I was there, so much had been lost. This time, I got to see what had been rebuilt. 🏡

It was a powerful reminder of something that can get lost in the spreadsheets, KPIs, budgets, collections, occupancy and NOI:

We’re not just operating assets. We’re helping take care of places people call home. ❤️

Communities hold people’s lives, memories and relationships. Being entrusted with them is more than property operations. It’s stewardship. 🤝

After all these years in this industry, that still matters deeply to me.

And I think it always will.

Lead with People. Strengthen with Process. Empower with Tools. 💙

When something isn’t working, our instinct is usually to push harder:

📉 Collections struggling? Push harder on collections.
🏠 Occupancy down? Push harder on sales.
💰 Expenses climbing? Start cutting.

But sometimes, pulling harder just tightens the problem.

The better move? Stop reacting to the symptom and start looking for the source.

That’s where the CORE numbers come in:
Collections. Occupancy. Revenue. Expenses.

They help operators identify where to start looking and ask the bigger question:

👥 Is this a people problem?
⚙️ A process problem?
🛠️ Or a tools problem?

Better operations don’t come from pulling harder. They come from understanding what’s actually causing the problem and fixing it at the source.

Accountability shouldn’t mean constantly checking behind your team. 👀

In fact, when accountability is built correctly, leaders should have to micromanage less, not more.

The difference comes down to clarity:

→ 👤 Who owns the outcome?
→ 📌 What does success look like?
→ 🔑 What authority do they have?
→ 📊 How is progress visible?
→ 🚦 What happens when something goes off track?

When those pieces are clear, people can take ownership instead of waiting for the next reminder, meeting, or follow-up.

That’s where People + Process + Tools work together to create an operation that doesn’t depend on leaders chasing the work. ⚙️

Accountability gets a bad rap.

Somewhere along the way, we started treating accountability and micromanagement like they were the same thing. I think the opposite is true.

When expectations aren’t clear, leaders compensate. We check. We chase. We remind. We follow up again. And eventually, everyone feels micromanaged.

Strong accountability should actually create more independence, not less.

When people know what they own, what success looks like, when they need to act, and when they need to escalate, leaders don’t have to hover over every step.

That’s what I’m digging into this month: how we create accountability through clarity, ownership and follow-through without creating a culture where leaders have to constantly chase the work.

Because the goal isn’t to stop checking the work.

The goal is to stop having to chase it.

More on this in October’s Parish Consulting blog.

You can track the numbers all day, but what’s driving them? 📊

Revenue. Occupancy. Expenses. Collections.

Those numbers matter. But without strong processes behind them, your team can end up spending all their time reacting instead of operating with consistency and clarity. ⚙️

That’s where CORE comes in. At Parish Consulting, we look beyond the numbers to strengthen the processes that help operators improve performance, streamline operations, and build a stronger foundation for growth. 📈

Because the goal isn’t just to fill the cups.

It’s to make sure the system behind them can keep them full.
