◆ AVERAGE HOME PRICE DIPS TO $1.05M

San Diego County's average home price was $1.05M in September, down 3.7% from August. Sales fell 12.2% from a year ago.

◆ 30-YEAR RATE HOLDS AT 7.40%

Freddie Mac's 30-year fixed average was unchanged at 7.40%, vs. 6.27% a year ago. The 15-year is 6.71%.

◆ MIDWAY RISING: 2,000 AFFORDABLE HOMES

A council committee advanced the 48.5-acre Sports Arena redevelopment on Oct 16. It now goes to the full City Council.

◆ UNEMPLOYMENT FALLS TO 4.7%

The county jobless rate fell to 4.7% in September from 4.9%, with 19,900 jobs added over the past year.

◆ OPENING: $1.5M GASLAMP SALOON + IZOLA

Copper Cowboy Saloon is planned for 818-822 Fifth Ave (early 2027). IZOLA bakery opens at 9276 Scranton Rd, Sorrento Valley, in December.
