I am all about hard work and doing what I love – helping people (and homeless animals!) After a career in the travel and entertainment industry catering to every need of extremely high profile individuals, my love of real estate took over (2001) and the next venture began. Central to my success in real estate is my expansive network, relationships, and dedication to providing a unmatched level of service beyond the real estate realm. Experience in Los Angeles and the Bay Area through markets up and down gives me a unique perspective, bringing expertise, clarity, sophistication, and sound judgment to those who turn to me. My clients include entertainment industry professionals, celebrities, key business owners, city managers, the CIO for the White House, techies, and two individuals on the Forbes 400 list. Though these powerhouses are the backbone to my clientele, I have always welcomed all types of clients. Given my high profile persona, I am extremely down to earth, warm, with an uncanny ability to connect with people on a personal level. I am an expert at the negotiating table and embrace the most challenging situations with creativity and thoughtfulness. With endless enthusiasm and high energy, I am respected for her no nonsense approach, professionalism, and the astounding ability to make things happen when others can’t. On a Personal Note…. I was raised in Chicago and traveled the world during my career managing corporate travel companies. Having enough of the dreaded winters, I transferred to Los Angeles to oversee the $75Million travel and special services department at 20th Century Fox Studios. After purchasing my first home, my passion for real estate became crystal clear. In 2001, I joined Sotheby’s on Rodeo Drive and in no time grew a solid real estate business marketing and selling luxury properties within my extensive network of entertainment industry and high profile professionals. A long time volunteer and animal advocate, I am the founder of Giving4Paws, a non profit organization devoted to supporting the needs of Bay Area animal rescue organizations. Sellers have scored for years in Oakland, big time! Had a Rockridge seller running to the bank last year after a $350K profit in 2.5 years. Her grin was not to forget!

Zillow senior economist Skylar Olsen told the Business Times that much of the upside enjoyed by Oakland homeowners is related to how well the area rebounded from previous lulls in the market.

Do you own a HOME, CONDO, OR RENTAL PROPERTY in Oakland? Do you have hopes of renting your home because of life change or circumstances? Do you seek to return to your home in the future? Councilmember Kaplan along with support from Councilmember Kalb and Brooks are currently looking to pass a uniform relocation ordinance that will cover single family homes,condos, and all other properties that range in fees of $6,000-$12,000. There are no requirements for a renter receiving this money- no minimum length of stay or no means testing to identify need. Property owners are at risk of renting out their property should this pass! And this is guaranteed to be just a starting point of negotiation if lawyers are brought in. How does this policy burden help the housing shortage we have in the Bay Area? More owners will take their homes off the market to avoid any problems and costs associated with renting. This short-sighted policy will make the market even tighter and is not good for renters either. This ordinance is just one of many policies this council has passed in the last 2 years making availability W O R S E and causing rents to rise.

West Oakland transition continues! I sold a TV celebrity's mothers home, a spectacular 1890 Historical landmark Victorian near 18th and Myrtle about 4 years ago. Remember vividly quickly closing the electronic gate behind me after I drove in, no for sale sign, lockbox hidden, etc. Things have really changed !! :)

Two massive development plans could replace parking lots next to the BART station with housing and office towers, along with new shops and plazas. Another half-dozen midrise housing projects are under construction or approved in West Oakland.
