Down payment myths that keep renters renting 🏠

If "I can't afford 20% down" is the only thing standing between you and a home — read this:

3 things that quietly delay your closing ⏳

You're pre-approved, the offer's accepted — and then the timeline slips. Usually because of one of these:

1️⃣ Big purchases before closing — that new car or furniture set can change your debt-to-income ratio overnight. Lenders re-check. Don't move money around until after the keys are yours.
2️⃣ Job changes mid-process — even a raise at a new employer can trigger re-verification. If a change is coming, tell your lender early.
3️⃣ The appraisal gap — if the home appraises below the price, the loan doesn't automatically cover the difference. Have a plan before it happens.
