☑️ It's !

Thinking about getting your Alabama real estate license? Before you get started, let's check a few things off your list!

✅ Know the basic requirements. Applicants must be at least 19 years old when licensed, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have legal status in the United States.

✅ Register for your ID number. This is your first step with the Alabama Real Estate Commission! You'll need your ID number for prelicense course reporting, examination scheduling, your license application, and fingerprinting.

✅ Understand your eligibility. If you have a criminal history and are concerned about qualifying for a license, you can submit a Determination of Licensing Eligibility form before investing time and money in coursework and testing.

A little preparation now can help you navigate the licensing process with confidence!

📍 Changing Your Business Address? Don't Forget to Notify the Commission!

Alabama real estate licensees are required to notify the Commission in writing within 30 days of changing their place of business (Section 790-X-3.01).

To update a company or branch office address, the qualifying broker must submit the Commission's company/branch change form, along with a $25 transfer fee for the company or branch license and each license issued to that company or branch.

Failure to notify the Commission within the required timeframe is a violation of Alabama real estate license law.

📋 Preparing for your Alabama real estate license examination? Here's an important reminder about test center security.

Pearson has implemented enhanced security screening at all Pearson Professional Centers to help protect examination integrity.

Here's what candidates need to know:

✅ All candidates must undergo security scanning during check-in.

✅ Electronic devices, including cell phones, smart watches, and camera glasses, must be powered off and stored before entering the testing area.

✅ Pearson enforces a zero-tolerance policy for unauthorized electronic devices in the testing area.

⚠️ Candidates who do not comply may be denied admission to the examination and may forfeit their examination fees.

Candidates with medical or religious reasons may request a security screening waiver through Pearson's established accommodation process.

Ready to take your exam? Visit https://www.pearsonvue.com/ for examination preparation resources, testing locations, and scheduling information, or call 888-926-9488.
