Eleven FTC members attended the WRA conference together! ❤️🖤💚

We don’t always see many of us in rooms like this, even though so much of the education and information we need to grow our businesses is shared there. With much gratitude, we are excited to share that because of our sponsors and members, FTC was able to cover admission and lodging for members!

That’s what elevating Black real estate professionals looks like: opening doors, learning together, and making sure we have a seat in the room. We connected, we laughed, and we’re already implementing what we learned!

We’re back for our October FTC Meetup, and this month we’re getting into a part of the transaction that can make or break a deal: INSPECTIONS - What the Agent Should Know & What to Leave to the Pro 🔎

This month, we’re bringing in Al Moore, Owner & Operator of Moore Reliable Inspections, to help us get smarter about what happens once that inspection gets scheduled.

As real estate professionals, we need to know enough to properly educate, prepare and advocate for our clients.

We’re talking about:
• What agents should actually be looking for during an inspection�• How to prepare your buyer BEFORE inspection day�• Common inspection findings vs. legitimate red flags�• Understanding the inspection report�• Foundations, electrical, plumbing, roofing, moisture, HVAC and more�• When an issue needs further evaluation by a specialist�• What agents should—and should NOT—say to clients�• How to discuss inspection findings without unnecessarily scaring your buyer�• Questions you should be asking the inspector�• How agents and inspectors can work together to better serve the client

Because our job is to understand the process well enough to ask better questions, give better guidance, protect our clients!

Whether you’re a newer agent who hasn’t experienced many inspections yet or you’ve been through 100 of them, there is always something more to learn.
