Rates are moving 📈

Here’s what that can mean when you’re already under contract:
🔑 Your rate lock has an expiration date. If closing gets delayed, extending it could come with a cost.
💰 Your cash to close can change. A different rate can also affect points or lender credits, not just your monthly payment.
📄 Locked doesn’t always mean untouchable. Changes to your loan, down payment, credit or appraisal can potentially affect your loan terms.

The takeaway? Know your lock date, stay in touch with your lender, and avoid surprises before closing day.
