🏡 HOME SHOWINGS: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You’re ready to tour homes—now what? Here are answers to questions buyers often ask:
🔑 How many homes should I see before making an offer?
There’s no magic number. Focus on finding a home that fits your needs, budget, and priorities rather than reaching a certain number of showings.
📅 How much notice do we need to schedule a showing?
It depends on the property. Some homes allow same-day appointments, while occupied homes may require advance notice and approval.
⏰ How long does a showing take?
Plan for about 15–30 minutes per home. Larger homes or a second visit may take longer.
👀 What should I pay attention to?
Look at the layout, storage, natural light, upkeep, and how the space fits your daily routine. Ask about the roof, air conditioning, and other major systems. A showing doesn’t replace a professional inspection.
📸 Can I take pictures or videos?
Ask first. Follow the seller’s instructions and respect the occupants’ privacy.
💰 Should I tour homes above my budget?
Let’s focus on a monthly payment you’re comfortable with. A higher-priced home may have room to negotiate, but we shouldn’t assume the seller will lower the price.
🏘️ What if the home has an HOA?
We’ll request information about dues, restrictions, and community requirements so you can understand how they affect your plans and budget.
🔄 Can I see a home a second time?
Absolutely, subject to availability. A second showing can help you take a closer look before deciding.
❤️ What happens if I love a home?
We’ll review comparable properties, available disclosures, and your financing numbers, then discuss an offer you feel comfortable making.
