Looking for a safe place for the kids to Trick or Treat? Branson and Hollister have you covered

The Branson Landing is hosting their annual Safe Street Trick or Treating event on October 31. The event is set to take place later in the day, following the inaugural Trick or Tree parade at 10:00 a.m. that day which will welcome Silver Dollar City’s Grand Fir tree to town. Trick or Treating will officially begin all across the landing at 5:00 p.m. and storefronts throughout the entire complex will be offering candy to costumed kids until 7:00 p.m. Kids of all ages are encouraged to come out and participate and the event is billed as a safer and family-friendly alternative to the traditional Halloween experience.

The City of Branson is making it more affordable to build and invest in our community.

The Branson Board of Aldermen recently approved a new flat $500 building plan review fee, replacing the previous fee of 50% of the building permit cost.

What does that mean for your project? Here’s an example: Previously, a project with a $4,000 building permit fee would be charged an additional $2,000 for plan review. Under the new flat rate, that plan review costs just $500— a savings of $1,500!

This leads to more predictable upfront costs and reflects the City of Branson's commitment to encouraging investment, supporting development and moving at the speed of business.

Volunteer opportunity! A great way to help our community in a great organization.

Pack a Thanksgiving Meal with Least of These

Join us for a meaningful evening of service as we pack approximately 1,400 Thanksgiving meal for local families in Christian County.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals, families, youth groups, and anyone who wants to make a hands-on difference in our community.

Volunteers will move through a simple packing line and help fill bags with Thanksgiving meal items. These bags will then be distributed to local families along with their regular grocery support in November.

No registration is required, just show up and jump in.
Whether you can come on your own, bring your family, or invite a group, we’d love to have you be part of helping local families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
