We've been adding a few things to HullNext app that make our own daily routine a little easier, and this is one of them.

You can now see live MBTA ferry and train departures, including whether they're running on time or delayed.

We were already checking this information ourselves, so we thought we'd make it simple and share it with the community too. One place, real-time updates, and hopefully one less thing to worry about before heading out.

Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together. I love sharing some of the traditional dishes I still cook from my native Georgia (the country) and the stories that come with them.

That's why I'm excited that HullNext now has a place for community recipes. If you have a favorite family recipe or a dish that means something special to you, I'd love to see you share it. Every recipe has a story, and every story helps bring our community closer together.

The Car Show, PorchFest, and so many other Hull traditions are about more than just events. They’re the moments that bring neighbors, friends, and visitors together and remind us what makes this seaside town so special.

When we moved to Hull, everyone warned us about getting in and out of Hull and the South Shore.

What we've discovered is a very different reality. Between ferries, trains, and improving bus connections, public transportation has become a great alternative to driving.

As technologists, my husband and I have been focused on making these options easier to use through HullNext. You can now see live ferries, trains, and buses, along with the routes they're following and schedule information, all in one place.

Sometimes the solution isn't more roads. It's better information.

We moved to Hull in 2018 and launched HullNext in 2022 to support and strengthen our community in a variety of ways. One of those goals is helping local businesses gain more visibility online and making it easier for people to discover everything Hull has to offer.
