The Texas Brotherhood Ride is so much more than miles on a bike.
Every mile is ridden in honor of the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and for the families who continue to carry that loss every single day.
This ride is difficult. There are long days, tired legs, pain, hills, heat, blood, sweat, and sometimes tears. But whenever it gets hard, you remember why you’re riding. What we experience for a few days is nothing compared to what these families have endured.
It’s an absolute honor to wear this jersey and represent those we’ve lost. An honor to ride alongside an incredible group of first responders. Through the miles, the pain, the laughs, and the moments when we have to push each other forward, we build a bond and brotherhood that’s hard to put into words.
And none of this would be possible without our incredible support team. They’re there every mile of the way, keeping us safe, fed, hydrated, moving, and taken care of in every aspect logistically. They may not be on the bikes, but they are every bit a part of this ride and this brotherhood. We couldn’t do it without them.
We ride together. We hurt together. We push each other forward.
But most importantly, we remember.
Texas Never Forgets.
Special thanks to Austin Wier and Ryan Williamson for capturing this journey. You guys did an amazing job telling the story of what this ride is all about through your lens. Last but not least thanks to my wife Nora Ayala for holding everything down at home and your support, wouldn’t be possible without you.
