🙏🏾 THANK YOU 🙏🏾

To everyone who purchased Abstract Words Paint Portraits of Life: Songs for the Soul —

I don’t have words big enough for the gratitude I feel.

These poems came from fifty years of living — the joy and the heartbreak, the losses and the faith, the struggle and the triumph. For so long, they lived only in my notebooks. Written for survival. Written because I had to.

And now they live in your hands.

When you bought this book, you didn’t just buy poetry. You became part of the story. You helped a foundational Black American poet’s voice reach further than I ever dreamed. You honored a lifetime of work.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you. 🙏🏾

If these words have touched you, I’d be grateful if you’d share them with someone who needs them, or leave a review so they can find the next reader.

This is my gospel, written in my book. And because of you, it’s being heard.

With love and gratitude,
