🏡 WESTLAKE RESIDENTS: What’s Issue 106 on the November ballot?
On November 3rd, Westlake voters will decide whether to approve a zoning change affecting approximately 4.3 acres along Center Ridge Road.
Here’s the breakdown:
📍 Four properties along Center Ridge Road are involved.
🏘️ The property owner has proposed building up to 12 cluster homes.
📋 The ballot measure would rezone the entire site to R-MF-24, a multifamily residential zoning district.
⚠️ **Here’s the important distinction: Voting YES approves the zoning change, not a specific development plan.**
The proposed classification could also allow other types of residential development, including townhomes, low-rise multifamily buildings, or residential facilities.
And because formal development plans haven’t been submitted to the city, the final design and potential neighborhood impacts aren’t yet known.
Whether you live near Center Ridge Road or elsewhere in Westlake, understanding how zoning decisions affect future development is important.
I’ve put together a more detailed explanation covering what Issue 106 proposes, what each vote means, and what residents should know.
