Buying a house to get rich off it going up in value is a terrible idea and anyone pushing it is doing a disservice.

Obviously you can make money off a home but it is not a guarantee and it is not a get rich quick scheme.

This is not me saying the market is going to crash either. I donā€™t believe that will happen.

I am saying itā€™s not Covid anymore. That was an anomaly and treating home ownership like the key to becoming rich is not realistic.

Itā€™s better to see it for what it is. Owning a home should be about establishing yourself in a community, feeling secure for you and your family and having more control over your life.
