Radon gas is completely odorless and invisible, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the age or the price point of a home. So in other words, it's *always* a good idea to get a radon test done during your due diligence period to ensure that the home you're purchasing is safe for years to come.

A low appraisal does not have to mean the deal is dead. When a valuation comes in lower than the contract price, it takes a strategic approach and strong professional relationships to navigate the options and keep the transaction moving forward smoothly for everyone involved. There are multiple options when this happens, but it all comes down to negotiating the best path forward for both parties.

The first two weeks a home is active on the market are your golden window; this is when buyer curiosity and agent attention are at their peak. However, in Lake Norman it's completely normal for homes to stay on the market for multiple weeks or even a few months. So don't panic if your home doesn't go under contract in week one.
