Wild Finds: Nature Break 🌅🐬

Some evenings on the May River in Bluffton, South Carolina, really do have a little bit of everything.

We caught a gorgeous Lowcountry sunset, a few kayakers enjoying the water, and then, as if the evening needed one more highlight, a dolphin made an appearance. 🐬

The May River is one of those places where you can watch the scenery change by the minute. Between the tidal waters, passing boats, local wildlife, and those colorful South Carolina sunsets, there’s usually something worth stopping to admire.

And apparently, this evening’s dolphin wanted to be part of the nature break too.

Adventure Break | Carolina C***r Company & Clockwise Coffee Co. 🍎☕

This wild find reminded us that some road trip stops are worth making more than once.

On our way home from Charleston, we made a familiar pit stop at Carolina C***r Company, located along US-17 at 81 Charleston Highway in Yemassee, South Carolina.

First priority? Apple c***r donuts. 🍎

Then we wandered over to Clockwise Coffee Co., the coffee shop attached to the country store, for a little more exploring. Between the coffee, c***r, and shelves of jams, fruit butters, and other Southern goodies, there’s plenty to browse before getting back on the road.

One of the perks of living in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Hardeeville, or Okatie is having places like Charleston and Savannah within road-trip distance. And sometimes the stops along the way become part of the adventure themselves.
