Chair Yoga is for all ages, all genders, and all bodies. You don’t need to be flexible, have yoga experience, or be comfortable getting up and down from the floor.

Using a chair for support, this gentle and accessible practice incorporates movement, stretching, balance, and breath while placing less stress on your muscles and joints.

Chair Yoga may be a great fit if you:

We’re excited to see this amazing project come to life at 2 Hammond Street! 🎨🌈 It’s wonderful to see local artists and the Bangor community come together to create something special for downtown.

This September, Maine artist Rachel Gloria Adams and her team will transform the large wall at 2 Hammond Street into a vibrant new downtown landmark. The design incorporates patterns created by five Bangor-area artists, making this a true celebration of local creativity and community. 🌈

🏛️ From Historic Landmark to New Chapter: The Hammond

One of the best parts of what we do is watching an old building come back to life. ❤️

We’re kicking off a new series to share the stories behind our projects — the buildings, the people, and the partners who helped bring them back to life. And we have some fun photos to share along the way!

Let’s start where it all began: The Hammond in Bangor, Maine.

Once home to Merrill Bank, this stately building was part of Bangor’s timber-era history. After sitting quiet for nearly a decade, it was ready for a new chapter.

Our first project transformed The Hammond into 8 beautifully crafted residential apartments, while also providing space on the first floor for the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce and creating a little magic in the basement with Barliman’s speakeasy. 🥃✨

The Hammond is more than just a building. It’s a reminder of what’s possible when we invest in our historic properties and the communities around them — creating housing, supporting local organizations, and giving people unique places to gather.

And if you haven’t been to Barliman’s, it’s definitely worth a visit!

From that first project to nearly 20 projects today, we’re incredibly proud of the journey and grateful to everyone who believed in the vision from the beginning.

This is just the beginning of the story. Stay tuned as we share more of the projects, people, and partnerships that have helped shape the journey. 🌊
