Unfortunately, there are a lot of scams out there nowadays. Staying one step ahead of them by knowing what to watch out for is key to keeping what's yours safe and sound. These are some of the most frequently-used scams to avoid.

As a bonus, here are a few of the most common Real Estate scams to watch for:

🚩 Wire Fraud
Always verify wiring instructions by calling your title company using a trusted phone number. Never rely solely on an email.

🚩 Fake Rental Listings
If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Never send deposits before verifying ownership.

🚩 Fake Buyer or Seller Impersonation
Scammers sometimes pretend to own vacant land or vacant homes. Always work with trusted professionals.

🚩 Phishing Emails
Be cautious of unexpected emails requesting personal information or urgent payments.

A little late with this post because back-to-school week looked a little different for us this year! Our AC decided it was the perfect time to go out, so we spent the week living that hotel life. 😂🥵

If you’ve ever driven through Round Rock, you may have wondered how the city got its name.

Long before there were neighborhoods, shopping centers, or I-35, settlers traveling through Central Texas crossed Brushy Creek using a large limestone rock that marked a safe place to ford the water.

That landmark became known simply as “The Round Rock.”

The crossing eventually became an important stop for travelers, stagecoaches, and cattle drives along the historic Chisholm Trail. As more people settled nearby, the growing community adopted the landmark’s name—and Round Rock was born.

Today, the famous rock still sits in Brushy Creek, serving as a reminder of the city’s rich Texas history and how one simple natural landmark helped shape an entire community.
