Here’s the Hillgrove post, updated with the confirmed records and tonight’s matchup. It’s ready for Facebook.
🏈 THE HAWKS ARE HITTING THE ROAD ONE LAST TIME… AND THERE’S STILL PLENTY TO PLAY FOR! 🔥
It’s Friday Night Lights in Cobb County, and the Hillgrove Hawks are making the short 15-minute trip up the road to take on the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs in their final road game of the regular season!
Hillgrove comes into tonight at 4-3 overall and 2-1 in region play, fresh off a HUGE 35-26 victory over Harrison last Friday night. That win snapped a losing streak against the Hoyas and gave the Hawks some much-needed momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
Kennesaw Mountain enters at 4-2 overall, but don’t let that winning record fool you. The Mustangs started the season 4-0 before dropping their first two region games, including a 48-7 loss to Harrison and a 35-30 loss to North Atlanta last week.
Here’s what makes tonight interesting. Hillgrove just beat the same Harrison team that handed Kennesaw Mountain a 41-point loss! Now, we all know you can’t predict Friday night football by comparing scores, but you’ve got to like where the Hawks are sitting.
Hillgrove has won three of its last four games, and with only three games remaining in the regular season, every region win matters when it comes to playoff positioning.
The Hawks have two home games remaining after tonight, against North Atlanta and Campbell. But first, there’s business to take care of in Kennesaw!

I’m taking the HAWKS! 🦅
