Great day today! I hosted a food drive in Reston, VA to collect food and clothes for those less fortunate for Thanksgiving. We had about 2 SUVs full of donations!
We will use these donations to support a Thanksgiving dinner for homeless people in DC. In addition, we will have various events in the winter where we assemble groups and deliver blankets, gloves, hats, socks, food etc. to homeless people in DC. I will be posting more about these upcoming events soon!

To all the real estate investors- A good way to find investment deals is by contacting sellers in financial hardship before they list with an agent. I am currently in the process of finding an investment property, so I am working on building a list of potential properties in Northern VA.
My Meetup group and I are going to the Fairfax County courthouse on Friday (2/10/17) and searching for notice of defaults (basically a publicly recorded notice to the owner that says they are behind on their payments- a pre foreclosure type of notice). This is a good stage to catch the owner at, because you have a shot of closing a good deal being that they are on the verge of foreclosure and would embrace an offer to get them out of that bind.
We are also going to search for condemned properties and properties in probate.
