Congrats to my Asbury Park clients who rented out their investment property less then a month after the purchase.

Great work to all that were involved!!

FYI - 2017 Real Estate is going to be extremely competitive. Rates are going up slightly but there isn't enough inventory on the market. Know someone who is thinking about buying or selling a home or commercial property, give me a buzz 917-690-5390.

I hope you didn't miss the Jazz Fest Saturday on Press Plaza! Valerie Adams and Dimension from 5:30-7 was "tearing the house down!" Amazing!! People were out of their seats, dancing, clapping, singling and just having a fantastic experience. Thanks to the Chamber for a second awesome day of jazz!

Thank you Tom Gilmour.

Asbury Park Named One of the Coolest Towns in the US

Like we didn't know.

What does it take to make a town cool? Everybody has a different definition of the word. Matador Network thinks one Jersey Shore town was cool enough to made it's top 20 in the entire country.

Asbury Park, NJ

I am a board member of the Mercury Building and although I will be sad to see some of the buildings tenants leave, this does present the opportunity for units in the building to be sold as we continue to convert from a rental property to an owner occupied building.

If you know anyone interested in owning in Asbury including a desirable indoor parking spot, pls message me.

Asbury Park Summer Rental Info:

As per City Ordinance 3062, adopted by the City Council on April 17, 2014, any owners of property, or their agents, intending to rent all or any part of their property for "temporary occupancy by tenants for all or any portion of the period from Memorial Day through Labor Day" are required to apply for, and obtain a Summer Rental License and Certificate of Occupancy, prior to occupancy by a "summer rental" tenant. Rooming houses, boarding houses and apartments are specifically excluded from this Ordinance.

The application materials for Summer Rental Licenses and C.O.'s are now available and can be picked up at the Department of Code Enforcement in Municipal Hall. Unfortunately, for this year, the application materials are carbonized, so we cannot fax or email them. The application fee is $250.00 per season, and is paid upon making the application. The application process requires approval from a number of City departments (Zoning, Fire, Tax/Sewer), to ensure that properties are in compliance with their respective regulations and that all municipal assessments are current, prior to an inspection being scheduled by the Department of Code Enforcement. Application for the summer rental of a condominium also requires submission of a letter of approval by the Condominium Association with your completed application form.

Only one Code Enforcement inspection is required per season, when the application is initially made, and it is simply for the purpose of ensuring that the property is in compliance with the Property Maintenance Code and all other applicable City Code sections.

As per the Ordinance, property owners who do not comply and rent their properties as "summer rentals" without obtaining a license and certificate of occupancy are subject to fine of not less than $100.00 or more than $2,000.00.

Any questions, feel free to call me at 732-502-5741.

Rob McKeon, Dir. of Property Improvement and Neighborhood Preservation/Code Enforcement

On September 4th, 2018 I spent my 34th birthday on the beach with friends and family. I lost these 3 rings... Ya know, took them off to put sunscreen on, put them on my bag, they fell off my bag at some point & ended up in the sand somewhere. I didn't realize til that night that I lost them on the beach. The ring with words (Vous Et Nul Autre - "you and no other") was the ring my father proposed to my mother with, the blue one my mom got me while in Mexico & the last one was a thicker ring, with a latch like pattern and a diamond shaped clear stone. They all were very important to me. 🌌💜 Hoping for a miracle.
