Our hearts go out to Florence’s victims, but with your help, we can offer more than thoughts and prayers. Through the not-for-profit REALTORS® Relief Foundation, we can deliver housing assistance to those in need during the critical weeks and months to come. Simply, RRF helps people stay in their communities and helps communities stay strong.
When you donate to the RRF, every dollar goes directly to victims of disaster. The National Association of REALTORS® covers 100% of administrative expenses.
Over 17 years, the RRF has collected and distributed over $28 million in relief aid for more than 70 disasters in 37 states and territories. Please help us keep this important work going by making a tax-deductible donation to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. You can do so in less than one minute using your credit card on our secure online form. Or you can send a check payable to RRF to REALTORS® Relief Foundation, 430 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611. Write “RRF Contribution” in the memo line.
Help Us Reach Our Goal
We all do things to protect the things that are important to us. We lock our doors. We buckle our kids into a car seat. But what are you doing to protect your business? Now is the time to protect the real estate industry and invest in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee - RPAC.
Earlier this summer, we set a goal to raise $200,000 for RPAC nationally, but we have still only raised $21,793 and this is the last week of our campaign. We are competing against other state associations to see who can raise the most money for RPAC and get the most members to participate this summer.
You can help our state win by investing just $25 today.
Let’s join together. When RPAC is successful, we all benefit. Help us keep RPAC strong and REALTORS® protected from harmful legislation. INVEST in RPAC today.
P.S. Now is the time. Don’t put it off any longer - invest just $25 today.
The final vote to extend the National Flood Insurance Program in the U.S. Senate. More than 129,000 REALTORS® participated in the first national call for action of 2018. A four-month extension was signed into law by the President on July 31.
Thank you our local Realtors for you donations!
An extension for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) could happen later this week.
The U.S. House of Representatives is likely to take up an extension of the NFIP as soon as Tuesday, July 24th. The U.S. Senate is expected to vote before the end of the week. NAR will modify the CFA to urge Senate action once the House vote concludes. Following the Senate vote, NAR will shut down the Call For Action.
State and Local associations have the next 48-72 hours to target non-responding REALTORS before the CFA shuts down.
Associations that need to meet Core Standards can do so by sending out supportive messages for this CFA. Visit the NAR CFA toolkit for resources: www.realtorparty.realtor/cfatoolkit. NAR will not be emailing July 24th, this will leave the communications calendar open for supportive messaging.
More than 105,000 REALTORS have taken action so far. Let's make sure Congress pushes through an NFIP extension by keeping up the pressure and making our REALTOR voices heard this week.

The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will expire on July 31, denying necessary insurance coverage to homeowners and buyers in more than 20,000 communities nationwide. Congress must act now to reform and extend the NFIP.
Take action by urging Congress to extend the NFIP and pass meaningful reforms to ensure long-term viability of the program.
Just go to the National Association of Realtors and search for Realtor Party. You can sign in there if you haven't gotten your Call to Action!
Good friends great times!
That the Fed raised short-term rates by one quarter percentage point earlier today wasn't surprising. What was somewhat unexpected was that the Fed now expects to raise rates four times this year, not three. But what set the markets into a slight tizzy was the hawkish tone of the post-meeting statement, suggesting that relatively soon the Fed may need to deliberately slow the economy with still tighter monetary policy.
Growth and Involvement 2018 new and old at Rocky Mountain Region XI Leadership Conference, great fun and new friendships!
