One of the great things in California is wild King Salmon. Yesterday my friend and coworker Kirk Knight drove to Half Moon Bay and bought 3 Salmon off the boat of Capitan Cybelle Priestley. We then took them to my friend and fellow agent Mark Wyman and he filleted them in a blink of an eye and salmon was had for dinner. The early summer salmon season was only a week long this season but there will be another season at the end of summer. I would highly recommend the trip to the Pillar Point marina in Half Moon bay when the fishermen and fisherwoman are bringing in Salmon as you can't get better fish unless you go out and catch them yourself.

Something to consider if your considering buying a rental property. Some Sellers agents will include in their advertising information both the current income and a projected income based on "market rents" There are some agents who don't factor in a communities rent control restrictions on rent increase. I just looked at a couple of properties in Alameda where the current rent are around 1000 dollars for each unit and the sellers agent is showing a potential rental income of more than double that. This "projected income" does not factor in rent control in Alameda that limits rental increases to 5% a year unless you go the housing authority and most likley have to go to an arbitration hearing.

Bottom line if you are buying rental property make sure you understand the rules and don't rely on advertising information.

When your selling a house I think great photos help, I am not a fan of the cell phone picture of the open toilet, (at least they left a roll toilet paper and some air freshener). When I was on the board of an MLS I actually suggested that toilet pictures be against the rules but that unfortunately did not go anywhere.
