During a conversation this past Monday, one of our directors, Dr Ifeoluwa Oladeji , shared an experience from a hotel he had visited outside Nigeria.
What stood out to him wasn’t just the accommodation, but the people. The smiles, the courtesy, the constant “thank you,” and the willingness to help. When the team discovered that someone in his group was celebrating a special occasion, they surprised the person with flowers. When they wanted Nigerian meals, the staff went out of their way to help them find them, even beyond their usual responsibilities.
Think about it: these seemingly little gestures were enough to make him want to return to that hotel. That’s the power of making people feel valued.
For our realtors, remember that every enquiry is an opportunity to build a relationship, not just close a sale. For staff members, a warm greeting, a sincere thank you, and a willingness to help can shape how people experience the brand. And for investors, building genuine relationships, treating people with respect, and showing appreciation can open doors that money alone cannot.
You don’t always need an elaborate gesture to make an impression. Sometimes, it’s a smile, it’s saying thank you, or it’s simply doing a little more because you genuinely care.
As we go into this new week, let’s remember: people may come for what we offer, but how we treat them can be the reason they stay.
Happy Monday! Let’s make every interaction count.
