But polio waits for the child we miss. Our progress will hold only if we reach every child, with political commitment, sustainable financing and community trust.

Today, WHO Representative to Sri Lanka formally handed over 200,000 Blood Glucose Testing Strips to the Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health, reinforcing WHO’s ongoing commitment to strengthening essential diagnostics and supporting uninterrupted care for people living with diabetes in Sri Lanka in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah.

This contribution will help ensure continued access to critical point‑of‑care testing across the country, particularly at a time when demand for glucose strips remains high.

Together, we continue working to protect health and improve wellbeing for all.
