A lovely review from one of our guests...
A Perfect Coastal Escape
We left Lincoln for Hunmanby, stopping off in Bridlington to enjoy the Race the Waves, Steampunk, and Artisan food events before heading to our destination.
The Snug itself is a beautiful, tranquil retreat and a true home away from home. The beds are cosy and beautifully dressed with hotel-quality linen and towels. We loved the sheltered courtyard garden—it was the perfect spot for a lazy morning coffee and a restful glass of w**e at the end of the day. It is an ideal space if you want some quiet time for reading and contemplation.
The location is incredibly convenient, with a Co-op just a three-minute walk away which was perfect for grabbing a quick breakfast or sorting a picnic shop.
We took day trips out to Flamborough and Filey, where the weather was unexpectedly warm and sunny with not a drop of rain. Our days were filled with coffees and ice creams, hunting for bargains at charity shops, and returning with pockets weighed down by fistfuls of shells and fossils. A Sunday night treat, once we'd settled in, was local fish and chips which we ate hungrily in the village community garden.
We enjoyed our three nights immensely and could have easily stayed longer. Thank you, Alison and Paul, for such a wonderful stay! We highly recommend!
