Who would have thought we’d still have so much colour at Craighead Howfs this late in the year?

From the last summer blooms to the gorgeous golden shades of autumn, our Perthshire gardens just keep on giving!

Even as the seasons change, there’s still plenty to enjoy, especially with a little Scottish sunshine and our resident swans enjoying life on the pond. 🦢

Who would have thought we’d still have so much colour in the gardens at Craighead Howfs as we approach the end of October?

From the last of the summer flowers to the beautiful golden shades of autumn, our gardens have certainly kept on giving this year!

Add in some lovely autumn sunshine, our resident swans enjoying the pond and the wonderful Perthshire countryside, and there’s still plenty to admire.

Hidden in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, just outside Dunblane, Craighead Howfs is more than somewhere to stay. It’s an experience.

🌸 Have we grown the tallest sweet peas in Britain? 😂

We’re not making any official claims just yet… but when Ian needs a ladder to reach the top, we reckon they must be in with a chance!

The sweet peas at Craighead Howfs have gone slightly wild this year, creating towering walls of colour in our gardens here in the Perthshire countryside, Scotland.

And this is all part of life at Craighead. Beyond our unique handcrafted glamping accommodation, there are gardens to wander through, animals to meet, wildlife to spot and plenty of little surprises around the smallholding.

Although, while Ian is up the ladder tending to the sweet peas, one member of the Craighead team appears to have found a considerably less strenuous job… 🐈😂

So, what do you reckon? Britain’s tallest sweet peas? We’d love to see someone beat them!

🍌 Who says bananas don’t grow in Scotland? 🍌

Well… they certainly do at Craighead Howfs!

Heather has been checking on one of our banana plants in the polytunnel, and it’s produced a fantastic bunch of bananas. It’s just another one of the many surprises you’ll discover during a stay with us.
