Florida has approved major steps toward bringing eVTOL aircraft ā€” electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft ā€” into the stateā€™s transportation network.

Orlando International Airport has already approved development of an eVTOL vertistop, while Florida is preparing for test flights by the end of 2026.

And eventually? Think air taxis that can take off vertically, avoid traffic and connect major destinations across Florida.
