Its September tracking shows BC continuing to post positive year-over-year real GDP growth, while the economic activity index remains below its longer-term trend, though it has been moving closer toward trend.

And the regional picture matters too. BCREA tracks economic growth separately across the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Thompson-Okanagan, Kootenay and Northern BC, reinforcing an important point: there is no single story for every market.

Here in Maple Ridge, benchmark prices were:

📊 Market Value is an assessment of what the property may be worth in the current market, informed by factors such as comparable sales, location, property characteristics, upgrades and market conditions.

🤝 Sale Price is the final price agreed to in the transaction.

And here's the important part:

The list price is a starting point, not proof of value.

BCFSA specifically warns buyers in competitive situations about the possibility of paying above both asking price and market value.
