What lessons can we take away from our week of looking at houses in the area?

1. If a house is sold "as is," check for water damage, air quality and bird's nests above the stove.

2. You can't smell a photo on realtor.ca

3. Not all realtors leave a lockbox that works...good to know, before you take a client for a viewing.

4. Always bring high tech equipment...like marbles or golf balls...to check how level the floors are.

5. There's nothing else we'd rather be doing!

We've looked at 25 houses in the past two weeks and were surprised to find this "second full bathroom" at one of our viewings. I guess you can't always trust what you're told on the inter-webs (shocker!). Good luck and have fun with it!

A lot of "experts" told us that we should pay FB, Google and any number of tech companies to help market and boost our new business.

We were thinking of maybe rewarding clever people and supporting local business, instead. Stay tuned for some good-time, fun-times on the horizon!

From hosting an open house, yesterday, to attending four of them today, we are having an excellent weekend! After today, we will have seen 20 houses in 11 days. We're well on our way to seeing everything that has to offer. And...we don't have to spend $1.80/L on gas to see them. Love this town!
