🏡Welcome Home to this fantastic family! This hunt included everyone’s input and anyone looking for help testing lights and doors at a pre-close inspection couldn’t ask for better 😊 (I wish the parents well with any 🫟 painting help that might be offered!) Can’t wait to see it once you’re set up and settled in!

How’s this for a real life Group of Seven painting? Yesterday was a day of great Agent Open Houses, with 2 Domus Realty listings and this Engel & Völkers Nova Scotia gem, listed by Margaret Craig, Engel & Völkers | Halifax, NS

9 Blue Mountain Drive has great details, both aesthetic and practical. There’s a mudroom with a closet (so the room that’s specifically there to contain the mess can actually stay tidy!), a pantry, fantastic garages (yes, 2 of them!), updated bathrooms, and fantastic trim. Plus heat pumps in each bedroom! All set on 3 acres of land.

Buying a home always comes with a decision about how much work are you willing to do? And it’s an important question: renovations aren’t no-big-deal (I think that double negative works…). I can definitely speak from experience on that front! I’m currently in the midst of a kitchen renovation that’s been a long time coming. It’s not my first major reno, but it is the one I’m doing at the age I am - which I am realizing does make a difference! Thankfully, we’re on the downhill side of the project, and I’m getting excited to see it all finished (how virtuous is patience??). Current status: doubting paint colour and wondering if the ceiling Really needs a second coat (answers: the colour will be awesome once it has its second coat and the backsplash is in, and yes, it really does 🙄). Wish me luck! And call if you’re looking for a house, whether or not you want to take on a project! 🏡

🪙**Golden Horseshoe Hunt in Halifax**🪙

As part of our 90th Anniversary Celebration, the Horses of Halifax have hidden some of their lucky golden horseshoes through the city! Horseshoes are a symbol of good luck and the horses want to share them with YOU! Each shoe has been worn by one of the , the horses who are all owned by us as a non-profit!

CAN YOU HELP FIND THEM?
Scattered around the landmarks and local businesses of the Halifax peninsula are golden horseshoes! Whose shoe will you find?

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

🐴Keep a look out around Halifax's landmarks and local businesses. The Golden Horseshoes are real horseshoes, so they are the size of a horse's hoof! We will post clues on our social media every few days to try and help you out.
🐴If you find a shoe, it is yours to keep. Be sure to hang it upside down in a U shape so that it continues to hold its luck!
🐴Let us know whose shoe you found by tagging us on social media using the hashtag

Good luck!

There is no purchase necessary to participate in the Golden Horseshoe Hunt. The odds of finding a shoe is dependent upon the number of participants. The Golden Horseshoe Hunt will run from 12:00pm AT on July 6, 2026 to 6:00pm AT on August 8, 2026.
