For the past few months, weโve been actively using the DJI Matrice 4E Enterprise (M4E) across a range of projectsโputting it up against our M300 + P1 setup and traditional survey methods to verify and understand exactly where it fits.
Same sites, same control, same conditions. Just different toolsโand a new perspective.
Our findings so far:
Accuracy: With solid GCPs, and well-planned flights, weโre seeing consistent sub-50mm results - at the price point itโs a fantastic tool when used correctly.
Workflow: The M4E is faster to deploy and easier to operate for regional project workflows. For repeatable work itโs streamlined and highly efficient.
Comparisons: The M4Eโs speed and simplicity make it a strong alternative for day-to-day aerial survey work.
Most importantly, weโve developed internal workflows to confidently validate and integrate M4E data into our client survey deliverablesโwithout compromising on quality.
The M4E isnโt a replacement for all use cases, but itโs a valuable addition to Geotwin, allowing us to tackle different project complexities by extending our drone fleet.
