Are you house hunting in Dubai? Before you visit a property, do your research and ask the right questions.

Many people assume finding a home is easy if you have a high-paying job, but that isn’t the reality for everyone. With rents rising, many residents choose shared accommodation. Whatever your budget, look for a place that fits what you can comfortably afford.

A few tips to help with your search:
- Get information directly from the landlord or through a verified agent.
- Ask the agent for a live WhatsApp video tour before you visit. Photos can be edited or may not show the property as it really is.
- Ask for the exact location and check nearby schools, hospitals, banks, and other landmarks.
- If you don’t have a car, check how close the property is to the Metro.
- Confirm the payment terms and all costs before arranging a viewing.
Take your time, compare your options, and do your research before committing to a rental.
